religious quotes about love

I am sharing these religious quotes about love directly from various holy scriptures as comparative religious studies and hopefully also to spread interreligious understanding and religious tolerance. Judge for yourselves which religious teachings are true or false, and which religious people actually follow their own scripture or not. I personally think if we could follow all these teachings below the world would definitely be a better place. Feel free to copy and paste the images on any social media platform you like. Peace, shalom, salam, namaste :)

proof that God exists

Is there a God? Is there proof that God exists?

To some people, the answer to the above question is a definite yes, while for others believing in it is just a gamble or a wager and some people who are sure that God does not exist consider others who do as ignorant.

I belong to those who believe that God exists. I agree with the obviously - not an ignorant French man, Christian philosopher, mathematician, physicist Blaise Pascal (1623-1662) - who said the following:

“Belief is a wise wager. Granted that faith cannot be proved, what harm will come to you if you gamble on its truth and it proves false? If you gain, you gain all; if you lose, you lose nothing. Wager, then without hesitation, that He exists.”

In other words: if a believer is wrong nothing happens to them or oblivion, if a disbeliever is wrong then the alternative would be less attractive: oblivion or damnation. But of course, just believing without further contemplation is ignorance. So let us analyze: is there scientific proof that God exists?

Muhammad's Night Journey

In a few more days Muslims around the world will be celebrating Muhammad’s Night Journey (or Isra and Miraj in Arabic). What is Isra and Miraj? According to Islamic tradition it is a night where Prophet Muhammad travelled from Mecca to Jerusalem then ascended to heaven, where he met other prophets and received the commandment of 5 daily prayers. All of these happened in one single night at ca. 621 CE. This single event is the main reason why Muslims claim Jerusalem as one of their holy places apart from Mecca and Medinah. To learn why Jews (and Christians) claim Jerusalem as their holiest place based on their religious teachings read: MythoReligio Series Book 1: History of the World & Jerusalem.

lost city of Atlantis

The lost city of Atlantis is a legendary city located in an island that submerged in the middle of the ocean due to the anger of the gods. The name Atlantis comes from the Greek word that means “island of Atlas”. In Greek mythology, Atlas was the primordial Titan (giant) who held up the celestial spheres.

The description of a tribe called Atlantean who lived in Libya was first mentioned by the Greek born in Turkey historian Herodotus (ca. 484 – 425 BCE). In his Book IV of History, he describes them as living in the area of Mount Atlas in North Africa and in Book I he mentioned that the ocean west to them is called the “Atlantis Sea”.
